[72428] Internal crisis in the CHP: Postponement of the party council meeting stirs political turmoil
Political crisis in the CHP: Cancellation of the party council meeting
A political upheaval in the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Turkey following the announcement of the cancellation of the party council meeting, which was supposed to convene on June 1st. According to a report by bpthaber, the meeting will not take place because not all council members received the required invitations, a reality that led to sharp criticism of the party leadership's conduct.
The decision sparked angry reactions within the party's ranks. Seyit_TORUN, who sharply criticizes the current leadership, claimed that those who do not dare to convene the council are "hiding now behind anonymous texts".
On the other hand, uygarparcal, who is identified with the line calling for immediate change in leadership, attacked the current situation and said that "such decisions represent a violation of the will of the voter". He added that under these circumstances, the only solution to the crisis is the immediate convening of the party convention (Kurultay).
As of now, the party remains without an agreed-upon solution to the leadership crisis, as internal critics continue to use the technical failure of summoning the meeting as evidence of the loss of governance and order within the party mechanism.
