The forecast indicated that "extremely heavy rains" are expected and that temperatures are expected to "drop suddenly" following a cold front entering the region.

The effects of the weather conditions are already being felt on the ground. According to a report in Sondakika Haber Gündem, a channel focused on real-time updates, severe traffic disruptions were recorded on the Toprakkale-İskenderun highway. In the Payas-Dörtyol area in Hatay province, water accumulated on the road and mud washed down from the slopes due to the heavy rains, which now requires authorities to manage traffic on a "controlled basis only."

The public is urged to follow the authorities' instructions and prepare for a significant drop in temperatures, as the wave of precipitation is expected to continue affecting infrastructure in additional cities in the coming hours.
