Appointments and Dismissals in Government

Reform in Apartment Building Management

At the same time, the channel Haber Gündem reported on a structural change in the way apartment association fees (Aidat) are determined in shared buildings. According to the report, the new regulation limits the authority of building management to set association fees unilaterally.

From now on, building managements will be required to prepare a "provisional budget," where any increase in association fees will be subject to the approval of at least "two-thirds (2/3) of the apartment owners."
