In the last day, a combined airstrike carried out by the IDF in the Gaza Strip was reported, the goal of which was to strike a senior commander in the Hamas organization, Izz al-Din al-Haddad. According to a report by the Telegram channel Daily Islamist (known for its leanings toward Islamist organizations), the Israeli Air Force used drones and fighter jets to attack a building where al-Haddad was staying. They further noted at Daily Islamist that the IDF simultaneously attacked a vehicle that left the scene, with the aim of preventing him from escaping.
At the same time, the Rojava Gündemi channel confirmed that the IDF announced an attack on one of the most senior Hamas commanders in the Strip. However, at Rojava Gündemi, they qualified the report, noting that as of now, "the death of al-Haddad in the Israeli strike is unclear."
Military sources in Israel, as quoted by Daily Islamist, stated that the intelligence that led to the strike was precise and that the target was indeed inside the building that was bombed. At this moment, no official confirmation has been received from Hamas or official Israeli sources regarding the commander's fate.
