During the recording of the show "Mevzular Açık Mikrofon," a tense verbal confrontation took place between the leader of the Victory Party (Zafer Partisi), Ümit Özdağ, and a fan of the football club Amedspor. The confrontation concerned harsh accusations leveled by Özdağ against the club, in which he attributed signs of terrorist organizations and separatist activity to it.

According to bosunatiklama, a Twitter account that reports on political media events, the fan accused Özdağ of presenting the club to the public as a separatist body, and asked if he takes responsibility for the consequences of his words. In response, Özdağ quoted Kurdish politician Ahmet Türk, who defined the team as the "team of Kurdistan," and thereby sought to substantiate his claims regarding the connection between the club and Kurdish nationalist aspirations.

On the other hand, the Twitter account m26092298, which shows clear support for Özdağ's right-wing nationalist line, praised the politician's performance and claimed that he succeeded in neutralizing the fan's claims in a decisive manner. The reports reflect the deep polarization in Turkey's political discourse surrounding cultural and sporting symbols that are perceived by segments of the public as having a separatist political agenda.
