At the same time, maritime tension in the Strait of Hormuz is escalating. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards warned that any attack on Iranian oil tankers would be met with a harsh response against "American targets and enemy ships." This warning comes against the backdrop of an announcement by Britain and France regarding the intention to establish a multinational naval force in the region. The Iranians, for their part, threatened that countries complying with US sanctions would face difficulty passing through the straits, as reported by İLKHA.

On the diplomatic level, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest developments in the war.
