In honor of Workers' Day on May 1st, the government has announced benefits for public transportation and the use of toll roads in Turkey.

Ahead of May 1st, this coming Friday, a series of public transportation facilitations were announced in Turkey for the public's benefit. According to a report by Borsa Haber Hisse, an official notice was published in the Official Gazette stating that all bridges and highways will be free for one day, excluding projects operated under the "Build-Operate-Transfer" model. Additionally, public transportation in the cities of Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir will be provided free of charge throughout the day.
At the same time, the channels Sansürsüz Gündem and Sansürsüz Medya +18 reported that during May 1st and May 19th, major railway networks will also operate for free. This includes the Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN lines, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme railway line, and the metro line connecting Gayrettepe to Istanbul Airport and Arnavutköy.
