During the night of June 23, 2026, Russia experienced a widespread wave of aerial attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which focused on key strategic areas in the south of the country and the Crimean Peninsula.
The monitoring group "Crimean Wind" reported a series of fires at various locations on the Crimean Peninsula, including the oil terminal in Kerch – which was hit on June 21 and continues to burn – as well as the "Kavkaz" port. Additionally, fires were reported near positions of S-300/S-400 air defense systems in the area of the city of Kerch and near the settlement of Bagurovo.
At the same time, the Krasnodar region in Russia was placed on high alert. According to the Telegram channel Lpr 1, alerts regarding drone incursions were activated in the areas of Sochi, Adler, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Tikhoretsk. The channel updated that although some alerts were canceled, these areas remained under a "heightened attention regime."
On the other hand, the "Ukraina.ru" channel (a channel identified with distinctly pro-Russian positions critical of Ukraine and the West) reported the removal of the threat in the Voronezh and Kursk regions. The same channel noted that a "drone danger" was also declared in Sochi during the night hours, but the local echelon announced the cancellation of the alert at approximately 03:46 AM.
