Extensive wave of airstrikes in Russia: Alerts in Moscow and central regions
Overnight on June 22, 2026, intense security activity and widespread attacks were reported in several locations in Russia. According to the Telegram channel Lpr 1, which is identified with separatist positions, alerts were recorded in a wide range including the Moscow region (in the areas of Volokolamsk, Istra, and Zelenograd), as well as in the Yaroslavl, Tula, Tver, Vladimir, and Ivanovo regions.
The channel Москва и Область. Главное, which reports on events in the capital and its surroundings, published immediate safety instructions for residents of the Zelenograd, Solnechnogorsk, Mozhaisk, and Ruza areas, and called for taking precautions in light of the situation. On the other hand, the Ukrainian Telegram channel UKRAINIAN MILITANT referred to the events with an ironic tone, citing a radio transmission: "Ninth, ninth — this is tenth. Receive."
The channel Exilenova+, which expresses opposition views to the regime in Moscow, described the situation briefly in a post that garnered thousands of views: "Moscow suburbs are not sleeping." The reports indicate that this activity covered a vast geographical area, testifying to an unusual scale of security incidents in central Russia that night.
