Extensive missile attack: Russia launched 'Zircon' missiles at Kyiv
Over the past day, an intensive missile attack carried out by Russian forces against Kyiv has been reported. According to reports on the Telegram channel Николаевский Ванёк, which is identified with the Ukrainian side of the war, multiple launches of 'Zircon' missiles were identified from the Crimean Peninsula area.
The channel detailed that following the initial launches, "repeat launches of Zircon missiles (2) were carried out from the Crimean Peninsula, along the same flight path" which passed through the Bila Tserkva district towards Kyiv, via the Obukhiv and Ukrainka regions. The news channel Polonsky news | PN UA also confirmed reports of the attack.
At the same time, Николаевский Ванёк reported additional launches of Zircon missiles from the Kursk region towards the capital. The channel updated that while the missiles launched from the sea were shot down (according to the channel, "on the missiles from the Crimean Peninsula - minus"), another missile from Kursk continued on its path.
The attack also echoed in pro-Russian channels. The channel Кирилл Фёдоров / Война История Оружие, known for its stance supporting Russia and Putin, confirmed the start of the attack under the headline "Missiles launched from Crimea." The blogger Анатолий Шарий, known for his criticism of the Kyiv administration and his support for positions alternative to the Western establishment, also confirmed the reports of additional launches towards Kyiv.
