Extensive wave of airstrikes across Ukraine

During the night between June 14 and 15, Ukraine experienced an extensive wave of airstrikes that included the use of ballistic missiles, Zircon hypersonic missiles, and Geran explosive drones. According to reports from the UNIAN Telegram channel, which is identified with a pro-Ukrainian stance, five ballistic missile impacts were recorded in Kyiv, alongside additional strikes in major cities across the country.

The Ukraina.ru channel, which expresses pro-Russian views, reported dozens of strikes on various locations, including Shostka, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, and Kropyvnytskyi. The channel noted that about 70 "Geran" drones were identified in the skies over Ukraine and launched toward strategic targets, and claimed that as a result of the strikes in the capital, "power problems began" as cited in their report.

At the same time, Anatoly Shariy reported on a large fire that broke out in one of Kyiv's parking lots following the strikes. The channel, which is highly critical of the Zelensky administration, noted that the wave of strikes also included a combination of missiles launched from Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers.

Russian sources, including the Colonelcassad channel, reported that debris from a drone intercepted by air defense systems fell on the grounds of the Lavra Monastery in Kyiv. Conversely, the Lpr 1 channel reported a technical failure in the launch of Ukrainian missiles in the Odesa region, which it claimed led to the missiles self-destructing on their way toward the Crimean Peninsula. As of this hour, local defense authorities have not yet released final official data on the extent of the damage and casualties.
