Over the past day, there has been a severe escalation in the exchange of fire between Russia and Ukraine, as the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it intercepted about 138 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in just one night, in a wide geographical spread that included Moscow, Crimea, and many other cities. According to Readovka, which is identified with a distinct pro-Russian stance, a significant attack in the city of Ryazan led to the deaths of four people and the injury of 28 others, and caused heavy damage to residential buildings.

Simultaneously, reports from volunteers at CIT present a difficult picture on the Ukrainian side as well, with details on hits in the cities of Kharkiv and Kyiv. In Kharkiv, about 36 people were injured in the attacks, while in Kyiv, the deaths of 24 people were reported as a result of a missile hit on a residential building, a figure also verified by the Ukrainian channel 'Strana.ua'. In the Russian Belgorod region, according to RT, a channel that promotes Moscow's official narrative, a high-rise building was hit, and nine wounded were reported, including a three-year-old toddler.

Military commentator Sergey Lebedev, known for his pro-Russian views, describes the situation as a "decentralized war of attrition," where the goal is not immediate destruction but creating constant systemic pressure on Ukrainian logistics and infrastructure. On the other hand, reports from CIT emphasize the repeated hitting of the civilian population and residential structures, including cases of erroneous fire by air defense systems, as has happened in the past in Bryansk.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that in response it successfully attacked energy, transport, and drone production infrastructure across Ukraine. The general atmosphere in reports from both sides points to a significant increase in the use of loitering munitions, with each side accusing the other of terrorism and intentional harm to civilians.
