A wave of crime and criminal events across Russia

The last 24 hours in Russia were marked by a variety of reported criminal and social events. In Primorye, NEWS.VL | Владивосток и Приморье reported the arrest of a 50-year-old con artist who, along with his accomplices, swindled the mother of a soldier killed in the war in Ukraine and stole 4.3 million rubles from her. According to the report, the suspect posed as a bank employee and convinced the woman to transfer the government compensation funds under the pretext of "protecting her savings."

In Novosibirsk, the channel Новосибирск с огоньком reported on a violent assault outside the "Rocks" bar, where young people beat a woman after she refused to meet them. At the same time, in Buryatia, Информ Полис | Новости Бурятии provided updates on two legal cases: one concerns a man on trial for the murder of an 18-year-old who sought to assist him on the road, and the second concerns the conviction of a former CEO for embezzling 4.6 million rubles in public funds.
