During the night of May 1, 2026, a widespread wave of UAV and missile attacks was reported, leading to heavy damage to infrastructure on both sides of the border. Odesa INFO reported severe strikes in Odesa, including a hit on a 16-story residential building and damage to port infrastructure. According to the channel, at least two people were injured in these attacks. Concurrently, intense UAV activity was reported in the Izmail area, where, according to the local "authorities" announcement as quoted in "Ukraina.ru", port infrastructure was attacked.

On the Russian side, a repeated attack was recorded on the oil port in Tuapse. The "Dva Mayora" channel, which is identified with a pro-Russian position and critical of Kyiv, noted that this is the fourth time in a week that this oil facility has been attacked. TASS agency confirmed the incident and reported that a fire broke out at the scene, noting that numerous firefighting crews were summoned to the area.

The Russian channel "Lokhmaty Z Nikolaev", which expresses a sharp anti-Ukrainian position, accused the authorities in Odesa of carrying out forced and aggressive mobilization procedures ("mogilization") and corruption in military institutions. Conversely, Ukrainian sources such as "ZN.UA" emphasized the impact of the attacks on Russia's logistical capabilities and referred cynically to Russia's attempts to restore port operations.

Additionally, "Dva Mayora" reported on ground battles and casualties among the civilian population in border regions, including incidents in Belgorod and Bryansk where civilians were killed. Simultaneously, alerts were reported regarding the danger of UAV attacks in various areas of Russia, including Voronezh, Oryol, and Moscow, indicating an expansion of the scale of aerial warfare.
