According to the report by Matti Tuchfeld on Channel 14, as published in Hadashot BaZman, the Likud Constitution Committee will convene this coming Thursday. If the committee adopts the compromise outline, party primaries are expected to be held as early as August 2026.
The compromise in question includes significant changes to the structure of the national list: Netanyahu is expected to receive eight personal spots, while the national list will be expanded at the expense of district candidates.
