Assessments in the security establishment: Has the largest strategic base of Hezbollah been exposed?
In the last 24 hours, reports have been published in Arab media and Israeli Telegram channels regarding the exposure of significant underground infrastructure in southern Lebanon. According to Israel News IL and Asrar Lubnan | Secrets of Lebanon, channels dealing with open-source intelligence and reports from Lebanon, there are growing assessments that the complex captured in the Ali al-Tahar ridge area is none other than the "Imad 4" base.
"Imad 4" base was first revealed about two years ago in a Hezbollah propaganda video, and it is considered one of the organization's most threatening and important facilities. According to Israel News IL, if the rumors prove true, it is "the largest and most important underground infrastructure the IDF has ever captured."
The reports, echoing on social media, set a high bar of expectations regarding the scale of the IDF's operational achievement in Lebanon. It should be noted that these channels provide information based on assessments in Arab discourse, and official confirmation has not yet been received from the IDF Spokesperson regarding the identification of the facility as a strategic installation of such magnitude.
