Avishai Grinzaig - Updates, a journalist known for his critical stance toward political figures, published an investigation today casting doubt on the credibility of the statements made by the chairman of United Torah Judaism, Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf, regarding his financial situation. Grinzaig notes that in November 2022, Goldknopf denied the claims of Amit Segal (a senior commentator on Channel 12) that he is a wealthy man, dismissing the reports with scorn and calling those who reported them derogatory names.

According to the report by Grinzaig, the Minister's financial reality is completely different. The investigation claims that Goldknopf purchased three apartments in a luxury project in Jerusalem and combined them into one grand apartment. According to the data presented, the cumulative purchase cost of the assets stood at approximately 8.8 million shekels (3.3 million, 2.1 million, and 3.4 million shekels, respectively).

The report raises public questions regarding the source of Goldknopf's wealth, who for years presented himself as someone whose primary occupation is in an educational non-profit organization. Grinzaig attacks the minister and argues: "Perhaps he should explain to the public how a father of 10, who allegedly spent his entire life working for an educational non-profit - became a multi-millionaire?".
