According to Hershkowitz & Grobeis - The Haredi Angle, known for their critical stance on the government's measures toward the Haredi public, the IDF is expected to lower the threshold for criminal prosecution from 540 days of evasion to just one year. Official data indicates there are approximately 39,621 draft evaders, of whom about 75% belong to the Haredi sector.
At the same time, News from the Field on Telegram reports that in two weeks, an inter-ministerial digital interface will be completed that will allow for the tracking of draft evaders and the automatic imposition of financial sanctions. According to the report, the army has already begun transferring lists to the relevant government ministries for the purpose of revoking benefits.
