During the day (May 31, 2026), a series of security incidents were reported on the northern border that led to the activation of widespread alerts. IDF - Official Channel updated that alerts were activated regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration in the Shomera area, an event currently under military investigation.
Simultaneously, Online News reported sirens in Ma'alot and nearby communities following launches from Lebanon – for the first time since the "ceasefire" went into effect in the region. IDF - Official Channel confirmed that a number of launches were identified crossing from Lebanon, with the Air Force intercepting most of them, while the rest fell in open areas with no casualties.
