The security establishment reports a difficult incident on the northern front: Colonel Meir Biderman, commander of the 401st Brigade, was seriously wounded during operational activity in Lebanon. According to the Almog Boker channel, which is identified with a critical stance toward the government leadership but shows broad support for the IDF, Col. Biderman entered his position in October 2024 following the fall of his predecessor, the late Col. Ehsan Daqsa, in battle in Jabalia.

Following the injury, it was reported on Moment News - Army and Security and the Voice of the News channel that the brigade's chief of staff will fill Biderman's position in the near future. The channels emphasize the operational complexity that Biderman stepped into, as he commanded forces under intense fighting both in the Gaza Strip and on the Lebanese front.

In various reports, including those from the Nitzan Shapira channel (which takes a line supporting the government and war policy) and the Ben Caspit channel (identified with a clear critical line toward Netanyahu), it was noted that since taking office, Biderman made sure to be present in the field alongside his fighters: "Since taking office, he has been careful to be alongside the fighters in the field, leading the fighting from up close and strengthening the fighting spirit of the brigade even under fire."
