The Supreme Court ordered the Senior Appointments Committee headed by retired Judge Gronis today to conduct a re-examination of Roman Gofman's appointment to the position of Mossad head. As reported on Amit Segal, the High Court sharply criticized the appointment process and claimed that the committee's work "was flawed."

According to the judges, as published on Political Security Cabinet - Moriah Asraf & Doron Kadosh, the deficiencies include "lack of exposure to relevant real-time documents and direct testimonies from parties involved in the matter." Consequently, the court ordered the committee to summon for testimony Uri Elmakies, who was operated by Gofman, and Brig. Gen. G, head of the Operations Division in the Military Intelligence Directorate.
