Report: Commander of Hamas's military wing in Gaza has been eliminated

Sources affiliated with Hamas confirmed today (Friday, May 16, 2026) the elimination of Izz ad-Din al-Haddad, commander of the organization's military wing in the Gaza Strip.

According to a report by the Telegram channel Political-Security Cabinet - Moriah Asraf & Doron Kadosh, Hamas media outlets officially confirmed that al-Haddad was eliminated within Gaza City. The channel, which is associated with security coverage that supports the Israeli government line, noted that this is a significant development in the fighting in the Strip.

At the same time, journalist Yinon Shalom Yitach - Army and Security also reported that sources in Hamas confirmed the death of the military wing commander.
