[54514] North Korea toughens nuclear policy following global leadership assassinations

North Korea has announced the activation of an automatic nuclear response in the event of an attack on the country's leadership, against the backdrop of international liquidations of leaders in Iran and Venezuela.

North Korea updates its nuclear doctrine

Following dramatic security events worldwide, North Korea has announced a change in its nuclear policy. According to reports, the country has defined that "in the event of the assassination or incapacity of Kim Jong Un, North Korea will be forced to carry out an automatic nuclear attack."

The reports on the new policy appeared on two Telegram news channels:

• Abu Saleh the Arab Desk, which demonstrates a line highly critical of the American administration, dismissively noted the move as a "fucked up world" and linked it directly to an international chain of liquidations that included the arrest of the Venezuelan leader on January 3 and the assassination of the Iranian leader on February 28.


• 🎗️Israel News IL🎗️, a channel presenting a line that supports Israeli and Western positions, confirmed the report and noted that the change in policy comes "against the backdrop of recent US operations against the President of Venezuela and the Supreme Leader in Iran."

As of May 10, 2026, both sources agree that North Korea is seeking to deter the international community, and the US in particular, from similar actions against regimes under Western threat, while using its nuclear arsenal as an active and automatic defensive tool.
