Ben Shitrit, a deputy company commander in the reserves in the Alexandroni Brigade and a resident of Yeruham, was wounded in a battle in Khan Yunis, reports Kol HaHadashot on 🆃🅴🅻🅴🅶🆁🅰️🅼🔴.
Ben Shitrit (40), a father of five and a high-tech entrepreneur, emphasized the importance of public service following his injury. According to his words as published on Hadashot MeHaShetach on Telegram, his joining stems from the perception that "the real battle is the battle for Israeli society."
In his statement, Ben Shitrit noted on Kol HaHadashot that he views the rehabilitation of IDF wounded, the strengthening of shared responsibility, and connecting Diaspora Jewry to Israel as a life mission. He added that since his injury, he has been working to turn the personal crisis into "an opportunity, action, and influence."
