New guidelines from the Home Front Command set a total ban on arriving at Mount Meron during this year's Lag BaOmer events, with full blocking of access routes.

Ahead of the Lag BaOmer events, the Home Front Command has issued an unequivocal directive prohibiting the public from arriving at the holy site in Meron. According to reports on the channels 🔅 Political Arena ‼️ and The News Arena, the decision was made out of "Pikuach Nefesh" (saving a life) considerations and is intended to ensure the safety of citizens.
Within the framework of the severe restrictions, it was noted that "arrival to Meron will not be possible at all", as all access roads to the mountain are expected to be blocked. The directive includes a sweeping ban on the entry of private vehicles as well as buses to the area.
In the 🔅 Political Arena ‼️ channel, which is usually identified with political and news reports from a Haredi and conservative angle, the gravity of the situation was emphasized by quoting the verse "And you shall guard yourselves well for your souls," while clarifying that the roads to the mountain will be hermetically sealed.
