International tension is reaching a new peak: The Pentagon has officially announced President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw approximately 5,000 American soldiers from Germany over the next 6 to 12 months, according to NTD Hebrew News. This step comes against the backdrop of a "renewed flare-up" of disagreements between Trump and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz regarding the conduct of the war against Iran.

Abu Ali Express (known for a pro-Trump and pro-Israel stance) reported that NATO was surprised by the move. NATO spokesperson Allison Hart confirmed that the alliance is in contact with the US to clarify the circumstances of the decision, which is perceived as a fundamental change in the deployment of forces in Europe. Roi Kais and Guy Elster added that similar measures against Italy and Spain are being considered.

Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius was quoted on Asaf Rozenzweig's channel as saying that the Germans are preparing for the new reality: "It was expected that the US would withdraw troops... Europeans must take greater responsibility for their own security." Accordingly, Germany has begun upgrading national infrastructure, including the Port of Bremen, to increase its independent military capabilities, as reported on Hadashot 360.

In parallel, the American blockade on Iran continues. According to ynet news, the US military confirmed that so far 48 vessels have been turned around as part of the blockade on Iranian ports.
