[45672] Maariv Poll: 'Together' party of Bennett and Lapid overtakes Likud
A new poll indicates a dramatic strengthening of the 'Together' party led by Bennett and Lapid, reaching 28 mandates and overtaking Likud, while the opposition bloc approaches a majority of 60-61 mandates.
The political map is changing: 'Together' party leads in the polls
According to the 'Maariv' poll published today, May 1, 2026, the political map in Israel is experiencing significant fluctuations. The 'Together' party, which unites the forces of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, has climbed to 28 mandates and thus become the largest faction in the Knesset.
Poll data and bloc composition
According to the data published by BarakSeri, while 'Together' is strengthening, the Likud party is dropping to 26 mandates. In terms of blocs, the opposition bloc led by Bennett is reaching 60 mandates, while the Netanyahu bloc is weakening to 50 mandates, with 10 mandates attributed to the Arab parties. At the same time, sources supporting the union such as PeerliShahar note that in some calculations the bloc is already reaching 61 mandates, which signals great optimism among those opposing the government.
Criticism and the campaign
On the militant political side, criticism against coalition members continues. Commentator BarakSeri, known for his critical stance toward Likud, came out sharply against Minister Idit Silman and claimed that "what she did to Bennett, she will do to Netanyahu without blinking."
On the other hand, the Twitter account of PeerliShahar, which is identified with support for the union move, claims that Likud is in a "frenzy" and is reacting with campaigns that are not effective, while summing up the first week of the new party's existence with the statement: "We've only just begun."
