A busy day in the political system began with the decision of the High Court of Justice, which ruled that repeat elections will be held for the position of State Comptroller. Yair Lapid welcomed the decision as a "significant victory" for democracy and the honor of the Knesset. Conversely, Naftali Bennett attacked the government over the "chaos" and defined the original appointment attempt as an "eclipse of reason," while Itamar Ben-Gvir responded sharply, claiming this is "wild anti-democratic" conduct by the High Court of Justice, which justifies comprehensive judicial reform.

Simultaneously, the Basic Law on Torah Study continues to arouse emotions. MK Michael Malkieli emphasized that the Haredi parties are determined to pass the law in the second and third readings during the current Knesset term, as a response to what he termed "ongoing persecution" against Torah scholars. MK Tally Gotliv added that the purpose of the law is to fight "ignorance" of the Bible in state schools as well. On the other hand, Rabbi Yaakov Medan sharply attacked the law, claiming it is "full of desecration of God's name and contempt for the Torah," and called on religious Knesset members to oppose it.

In the security arena, 1,000 days are marked since the October 7 massacre. Ambassador Gilad Danon clarified at the UN that "no terrorist deserves a UN badge." Meanwhile, it was reported that preparations are underway for the funeral of former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, which the Prime Minister of Pakistan is expected to attend, while Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir defined Iran as the central focus of IDF readiness.
