Regional tension has reached a new peak in the last 24 hours, with reports of direct military clashes between Iran and the United States. According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces conducted defensive strikes against radar, command and control sites, and UAV launchers in the Jask and Qeshm areas of Iran. The US Command claimed, as published in Akhbar Khuzestan, that the strikes were carried out in response to the downing of an American unmanned aerial vehicle in international waters.
Conversely, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps reported, according to Akhbar Khuzestan, that they attacked an American airbase in response to what they defined as an "attack on a communication flag in the Sirik area." The Iranians warned that future responses would be "completely different" in the event of continued strikes. Simultaneously, social networks close to the regime in Iran, such as Khabar-e Fouri - Breaking News Negotiations - Breaking War, displayed documentation of widespread destruction in the Resalat Square complex in Tehran, and attributed it to US and Israeli strikes.
In the northern sector, fighting continues with high intensity. The IRNA news agency reported that at least 12 people were killed and 35 injured as a result of 36 different Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. Further reports from Khabar-e Fouri News indicate that 8 fatalities were recorded in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, over the last 24 hours.
In the internal political arena in the US, the security situation is drawing sharp criticism.
