On May 31, 2026, Iranian maritime rescue forces completed a series of successful rescue operations in two different maritime sectors, ensuring the safety of crew members who were in distress at sea.
According to a report by the channel آخرین خبر, which was also cited by سپاه ایران | IRGC, four fishermen who set out from Ramin Port in Chabahar were safely rescued in the border waters between Iran and Pakistan. According to Shahriari, the deputy maritime director at the Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan province, the vessel "Jagdar" sank due to water ingress, which left the four crew members stranded at sea until the arrival of rescue forces following a distress call.
At the same time, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported two additional rescue operations that took place in the Kharg Island region. According to the deputy maritime director of the Ports and Maritime Organization in Bushehr province, the operations were carried out by the vessel "Naji 18" in coordination with the maritime search and rescue center of Bushehr port. IRNA, which serves as Iran's state news agency, tends to emphasize the effectiveness of the country's public and governmental services.
