Religious initiatives in the digital space in Iran

As part of ongoing activities aimed at the faithful in Iran, official bodies and local media organizations continue to promote initiatives for daily reading of texts from the Holy Quran.

The Iranian Red Crescent, a humanitarian organization associated with the official establishment in Tehran, called on its followers in its daily update to dedicate time to reading "page 9 of the Holy Quran" from Surah Al-Baqarah. The organization, which presents a conservative-religious line combining social work with spiritual activity, also encouraged users to "invite each other to read the Quran."

At the same time, the regional news channel آخرین خبر خوزستان (Latest Khuzestan News), which deals with current affairs in the southwestern province of Iran, published a report of its own as part of a series called "Every day with the Quran." The channel noted that this is the fourth cycle of completing the reading of the Quran and presented a photograph of page 179 from Surah Al-Anfal.
