The terrorist organization Hamas confirmed today, May 16, 2026, that the commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Izz ad-Din al-Haddad (known as "Abu Suhaib"), was killed in an attack in the center of Gaza City. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the organization's military wing, stated that the elimination was carried out by Israeli security forces.
