On May 16, 2026, extensive advertising activity was identified on Iranian Telegram channels reporting on news, war, and sports. Channels such as خبرفوری ࡆ اخبارفوری مذاکره ࡆ جنگ فوری, خبرفوری جنگ🚨اخبارفوری امریکا فوری, خبرفورینیوز | اخبار جنگ | حمله امریکا, کانال هواداران پرسپولیس ایران, تهران آنلاین ࡆ TehranOnline, کانال موزیکفا آهنگ جدید ریمیکس رپ, and کانال فوتبال برتر ࡆ لیگ برتر 360 simultaneously distributed ads promoting VPN services under the headline: "❌ دیگه پول اضافه بابت فیلتر ندید".
The advertisements offer browsing packages without restrictions for a fee of 1,500,000 Tomans for 10 gigabytes. The advertisers promise "ללא חסימות עם תמיכה טכנית" (no restrictions with technical support) and the option for a free trial of the service before making a purchase.
At the same time, the channel خبرفوری | اخبارجنگ فوری آمریکا published similar content with different links to service providers, using almost identical phrasing. It appears to be a coordinated marketing campaign leveraging the high exposure of news and sports channels in Iran to market internet censorship circumvention solutions to the local public.
