Economic Update: Opening of the registration process for retiree loans in Iran

Starting today, Thursday, May 14, 2026, Iran's National Pension Fund began the registration process for submitting loan applications for retirees. The registration process will continue until June 20, according to the Khamian Pezeshkian channel.

According to the Khamian Pezeshkian channel and the Eghtesad Emrooz channel, the maximum loan amount was raised this year to 75 million Tomans, compared to 50 million Tomans in the previous year. The Deputy Head of the Development and Human Resources Department at the fund noted that the amount will be paid to eligible recipients in 10 installments.

The financial terms for the loan include interest and fees at an annual rate of only 4%, in accordance with the guidelines of the lending bank. The Khamian Pezeshkian channel, which is identified with support for the current government's policies, emphasized that this is a step toward improving the economic well-being of retirees in the country.
