Iran raids assets of 'foreign agents' in Mazandaran province

Iranian law enforcement authorities announced today, May 7, 2026, legal measures against about 20 individuals defined by the regime as "American-Zionist mercenaries." According to official statements, real estate assets and bank accounts belonging to these individuals in Mazandaran province were identified and frozen as part of the state's activities against opposition elements.

The prosecutor of the city of Sari stated that the move is directed against "regime opponents" who provided assistance to hostile governments such as the United States and Israel with the goal of bringing about the "overthrow of the Islamic Republic." According to him, "legal proceedings are currently underway" against those involved.

• The 'Sepah Pasdaran' channel, identified directly with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, adopted a tougher tone and labeled the property owners "American-Zionist mercenaries."

The Iranian security apparatus frequently takes measures of asset confiscation as a tool of pressure against political opponents and elements suspected of ties with foreign intelligence agencies.
