American officials are quoted in Axios as saying that President Trump may order the renewal of military operations against Iran as early as this weekend if a breakthrough is not reached.

According to reports from several news channels relying on Axios, the Trump administration is examining the possibility of renewing the fighting against Iran. American and Israeli officials were quoted in Fars International and Akbar Fouri as saying that if the "diplomatic impasse" (political stalemate) continues, President Donald Trump may issue an order to renew military operations as early as this weekend.
At the same time, Al-Arabiya Persian channel reports that official sources confirmed they delivered an explicit warning to Iran before the start of the maritime security operation in the Strait of Hormuz, in anticipation of any "intervention" by Tehran.
Regarding the effectiveness of the American activity in the Gulf, Fars International notes that the American "security operation" did not lead to a significant increase in oil or cargo transport in the first 24 hours. According to the report, which is based on CENTCOM data, most shipping companies are avoiding relying on the US administration's guarantees regarding the opening of secure shipping lanes.
