The Psychological Campaign: Reports in Iran on an American retreat under Iranian influence

During the last 24 hours, networks identified with the Iranian regime have been focusing a broad propaganda effort on presenting Iran as a factor with regional and strategic superiority. The reports focus on quotes from American figures who criticize US policy and glorify Tehran's capabilities.

The Revolutionary Guards News Channel (identified as the organization's official propaganda arm) claims that "nothing enters or leaves the Strait of Hormuz without the approval of the Revolutionary Guards Navy", based on what they call "the admission of an American journalist."

At the same time, the "Akharin Khabar" channel (an Iranian media outlet that reports in line with the country's official stance) presents a series of data and claims by analyst Eitan Levins, according to which Iran holds the "upper hand" on the military, diplomatic, and economic planes. According to the report, Levins claims that American bases have been destroyed, America's allies have abandoned it, and the US economy is suffering from rising fuel prices and the collapse of airlines.

In another report in "Akharin Khabar", a former director at the US National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, is quoted calling on Washington to recognize that "there is no military solution to the conflict with Iran". Kent argues that the US should avoid listening to "neoconservatives and Israel" and reach an agreement with Iran, while presenting a sharp critical stance toward traditional American foreign policy.

It is important to note that the reporting sources – the Revolutionary Guards and Iranian media bodies – operate under a clear interest of psychological warfare and the dissemination of messages that serve the Iranian regime's narrative, while selectively choosing critical American voices.
