[47418] Iran presents a 14-point plan to end the war in response to a US proposal
Indirect diplomatic contacts between Tehran and Washington to end the war
According to coordinated reports in Iranian media, including Fars News Agency (affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards) and Tasnim News Agency, Iran has passed to the US, through a Pakistani mediator, a "14-point response" in reaction to a 9-point American proposal. According to the sources, the contacts are being conducted with "skepticism" toward the American side, but present Tehran's position as an "expression of seriousness and self-confidence."
The main points of contention concern the duration and nature of the arrangement. While the US proposed a two-month ceasefire, Tasnim reports that Iran insists on a resolution within 30 days and focuses on "ending the war" rather than extending a temporary ceasefire. The list of Iranian demands includes, among other things, "guarantees of no military attack, withdrawal of US military forces from the immediate vicinity of Iran, lifting of the naval blockade, release of frozen assets, payment of compensation, lifting of sanctions, and ending the fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon."
On the other hand, Iran International, an opposition media outlet, emphasized that the information came from sources affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, which present the move as a phase in a structured decision-making process at the regime's highest levels. Additional sources identified with pro-government currents, such as Pezeshkian supporters channels, noted that Tehran is now awaiting an official response from Washington to the proposed outline.
Simultaneously, among independent Telegram channels reporting on the military situation, speculations have arisen regarding the possibility of immediate escalation, with some estimating that "Trump might respond at any moment with a bombing" in response to the rigid demands presented by Iran.
