The Iranian Meteorological Service has issued an extensive warning regarding unstable weather conditions expected over the weekend. The sources note that in prone areas, an increase in dust is also expected.

The forecast adds that on Sunday, meteorological conditions are expected to spread to the provinces of Zanjan, Qazvin, and Gilan. Traffic congestion and fog on the roads

Parallel to the weather conditions, خبرگزاری ایرنا – the state news agency affiliated with the Iranian government – reported heavy traffic congestion on the main routes leading to Tehran. According to the deputy commander of the traffic police, congestion was recorded on the Pardis-Tehran highway and the Qazvin-Karaj-Tehran axis.

In addition to reports of slow-moving traffic, IRNA reported heavy fog in the high-altitude areas of Firuzkuh and on various roads in Mazandaran province, which could make things difficult for drivers on northern roads.
