According to reports from Telegram channels affiliated with Iranian political factions, the days of Peyman Jebelli as the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) are coming to an end. Amir Ebrahim Rasouli, a senior advisor to Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, openly hinted that a leadership change in the organization is inevitable.
In a report published on خبرفوری ࡆ اخبارفوری مذاکره ࡆ جنگ فوری, Rasouli is quoted criticizing the organization's conduct, stating: "The management of the Broadcasting Authority is in its final breaths; I wish you knew how to leave with dignity."
The conflict arises against a backdrop of claims by Ghalibaf's associates regarding censorship and bias in the coverage of the Parliament Speaker's activities. The channel خبری پلاس added that Rasouli's harsh criticism followed an incident in which an interview with the Parliament Speaker was cut off during a live broadcast on state television, a move perceived as a political provocation by Jebelli's current management.
The reporting channels—which often tend to highlight internal struggles within the Iranian conservative camp—present the move as the end of the road for the Jebelli administration. So far, no official response has been received from the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation or Jebelli's office regarding the reports of his impending departure.
