According to eyewitness accounts compiled by Iran International, an opposition outlet known for its highly critical stance against the Islamic Republic, Iranian security forces have established numerous blockades and armed checkpoints across several major cities. Specific deployments reported by the network include: Tehran: Daily armed checkpoints on the Kharrazi East Highway, heavy deployments of motorcycle units on Bagheri Street, and a massive presence of armed and plainclothes forces patrolling the bus lanes and sidewalks of the Narmak neighborhood. Kashan: Blocked city entrances and checkpoints established along Imam Reza Boulevard.
