[55615] Wave of suspicious raffles on social media: advertisements for iPhone 17 Pro devices
Spread of online raffles promising luxury prizes
On May 11, 2026, increased activity was identified on the social network X, through which raffles are being distributed offering prizes such as "iPhone 17 Pro" devices, "Razer" gaming keyboards, and Amazon gift cards. According to NTE_GL, users are required to perform "Follow" and "Repost" actions to enter the raffle, which is scheduled to end on May 17.
The campaign, which received extensive exposure of over 151,000 views on NTE_GL, also gained resonance from additional accounts such as Pistolhappyman7. In the report by NTE_GL, it was noted that the prizes include a single iPhone device, three keyboards, and 20 gift cards worth $60 each.
It is important to note that this pattern of operation is known in information security systems as a common tactic for "phishing" or for building a follower base in non-organic ways. While NTE_GL and Pistolhappyman7 present the initiative as a legitimate raffle, users are warned to exercise caution when engaging with posts of this type, which request quick social interactions in exchange for valuable prizes.
