[94794] Extensive wave of IDF airstrikes in the Rimal neighborhood in Gaza; dead and wounded

Extensive reports in Palestinian and Arab media describe a bloody day in the Rimal neighborhood in the western part of Gaza City, following a series of IDF airstrikes.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, a source in the rescue and emergency services confirmed that a drone strike killed one woman and wounded others. Simultaneously, the Gaza Now network reported a direct hit on a civilian vehicle on Ahmed Abdel-Aziz Street, an event that led to a number of dead and wounded. Quds News Network added that the strikes were carried out on a "street crowded with civilians" using several missiles (full report).

One of the notable cases reported is the death of high school student Raghad Ashour. According to Shehab Agency | Urgent, she was killed on her way to school in order to take the governmental matriculation exams ("Tawjihi"). The journalist reporting for Ultra Palestine noted that she was an "only daughter to her parents, whose father was also killed during the months of the war" (link to news item).

In addition to the strikes in Gaza, further military activity by IDF forces was reported. Quds News Network reported armored vehicle fire east of Khan Yunis in the southern part of the Strip, and helicopter fire toward the Zeitoun neighborhood.
