The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, June 22, 2026, the reaching of agreements to establish a "cell for coordination and deconfliction" (خلية لتفادي الصدام), aimed at ensuring the cessation of military operations in Lebanon. According to a report by Al Jazeera, the new mechanism will include the parties involved in the conflict and the State of Lebanon as a mediating and guaranteeing factor for the implementation of the agreement.
At the same time, Al-Mayadeen channel, which is identified with the Axis of Resistance and presents a consistent line supporting these actions, reported that within the framework of Qatari mediation efforts, an agreement was reached between Qatar and Pakistan to establish a special cell aimed at "ending the conflict between the parties" and guaranteeing the realization of the ceasefire in Lebanon (according to Al-Mayadeen).
Additional sources, including Al-Araby TV, confirmed the Qatari Foreign Ministry's announcement regarding the establishment of a "working group" that includes the warring parties and the Lebanese Republic, as part of efforts to ensure the maintenance of the status quo and the prevention of further deterioration of the situation on the ground (according to Al-Araby).
