According to reports in the Quds News Network, Ahmed Washah was the brother of journalist Muhammad Washah, a correspondent for the channel who was killed in an Israeli strike last April. Reports in Arabic media, such as Sputnik Arabic, emphasized that Washah was known for his long-standing journalistic work in the field and noted that he was killed along with other civilians. Organizations such as the Palestinian Journalists Bloc defined his death as part of "institutionalized incitement and an attempt to silence the Palestinian narrative."
