[62768] A wave of IDF strikes in Gaza and widespread raids across the West Bank
Military escalation: Airstrikes in Gaza and widespread raids in Judea and Samaria
Over the past day, Palestinian and Arab media outlets reported a series of widespread IDF airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, which led to numerous casualties. According to Al Jazeera, a source at Shifa Hospital stated there were casualties in a drone strike that hit a civilian vehicle in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza, while Gaza Now reported three dead and several wounded in a similar strike near the Al-Wahda tower. At the same time, Al Mayadeen reported additional deaths and injuries in strikes on a vehicle on Al-Shifa Boulevard, and noted that the IDF continued intensive tank fire towards eastern Khan Yunis.
In the Judea and Samaria sector, sources report frequent raids and arrests. Quds News Network reported the killing of 34-year-old Nour al-Din Kamal Fayyad by IDF fire during a raid in the Jenin refugee camp. Similar reports of raids and house searches also came from the villages of Rumana, Anin, and Deir Jarir, where clashes with local residents and the use of riot dispersal means were documented.
The events are accompanied by harsh allegations from these media outlets regarding the activity of the IDF and settlers. Al Mayadeen reported that settlers set fire to a house on the outskirts of the village of Turmus Ayya north of Ramallah, claiming that "racist slogans" were written on it. At the same time, Quds News Network documented the home demolitions and heavy damage allegedly caused during the forces' raids in Judea and Samaria, using terms such as "occupation" and "crimes" to describe the military activity.
Against this background, other unusual incidents were reported, such as an explosion inside the "Tomer" missile development company in Beit Shemesh, as reported by Sputnik Arabic, as well as reports of massive gunfire and illumination flares fired by the IDF towards the east of Gaza City, indicating the continuation of intensive fighting in that area.
