Rising tension in Southern Lebanon: Reports of clashes and exchanges of fire

Over the past day, there has been a significant escalation in military activity on the northern border. According to the IDF Spokesperson in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, IDF forces eliminated two Hezbollah operatives using an armed UAV after they were identified approaching forces in southern Lebanon on a motorcycle. In addition, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed that Hezbollah launched mortar shells and an anti-tank missile at IDF forces overnight, incidents that led to counter-strikes by the army on the structures from which the fire was executed.

Sources identified with the Axis of Resistance, led by Al-Mayadeen Network, reported on the events using terminology of "resistance" and Hezbollah's retaliatory actions against the "occupation army." Shehab News Agency highlighted reports of two separate incidents of mortar fire during the night toward areas of IDF operational activity, with no casualties among the Israeli soldiers.

At the same time, Sputnik Arabic reports that the IDF issued an urgent evacuation warning to the residents of the villages of Jibshit and Srifa in southern Lebanon, stating that Israel "will be forced to act with force" due to repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah. Simultaneously, figures on social networks identified with the organization, such as the "Nahj al-Muqawama" channel, claimed that Hezbollah has carried out dozens of launches toward Israel since the ceasefire came into effect.

In reports published by Al-Jazeera and the Quds News Network, it was emphasized that no casualties were recorded on the Israeli side, but harsh criticism was directed at Israel's offensive actions within Lebanese territory. Conversely, sources identified with Hezbollah claimed that the organization is waging a "long war of attrition" against the IDF, accompanied by reports of Air Force aircraft evacuating casualties to hospitals in the north of the country.
