[47624] President of Cuba warns against American military escalation and promises continued support for the countries of the Axis of Resistance
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel accused the American administration of unprecedented escalation and the application of economic coercion, while emphasizing his commitment to continuing support for the Palestinians and Cuba's allies in the region.
Growing tension between Cuba and the US: The words of the Cuban President
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel harshly attacked American policy in a speech widely reported by the Al-Mayadeen network, a channel known for its anti-Western stance and sympathetic coverage of the 'Axis of Resistance'. According to the Cuban President, an executive order issued by President Trump constitutes a "clear attempt to impose a political model on Cuba through economic coercion".
In an additional report published on Al-Mayadeen, Díaz-Canel emphasized that the US is raising its threats of "military aggression against Cuba to a dangerous and unprecedented level". The Cuban President declared that no invading force would receive surrender from Cuba, but would instead encounter "a people determined to defend sovereignty and independence on every centimeter of its land".
As part of his political position, the President noted that his country will continue to support the "Palestinian cause, the cause of the Lebanese people, the Bolivarian Revolution and the liberation of President Maduro".
In parallel reports on the Beirut Time (in Arabic: بتوقيت بيروت) channel, which is also identified with the resistance narrative, it was emphasized that the international community must decide whether it will "allow a dangerous criminal act in order to satisfy the interests of a small, rich and influential group".
