Extensive Wave of Attacks in Southern Lebanon
On May 1, 2026, a significant wave of IDF attacks was reported in numerous locations across southern Lebanon. Al Mayadeen | Breaking, a channel affiliated with the Axis of Resistance, noted that the Israeli Air Force struck many cities and towns, including Majdal Zoun, Tyre, Qlaileh, Braachit, Yahmar Al-Shaqif, Ain Baal, and the Wadi Zebqin area. According to the channel, the strike within the city of Tyre is "the first since the ceasefire."
Simultaneously, Quds News Network, a media network affiliated with the Palestinian narrative, reported targeted airstrikes and artillery attacks in southern towns, including Kfar Chouba, Al-Mansouri, Haboush, Kafr Kila, and Kunin. The network published documentation of destruction to homes, including a house bombed between the towns of Debbine and Blat.
Sources identified with the resistance, such as [[[South Lebanon]]Enemy Observer](https://t.me/rasedal3ado138e), noted that Israeli activity also included the use of Merkava tanks in the areas of Al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun. The attacks were described by these sources as "aggression" (عدوان) by Israel, while emphasizing damage to civilian assets, including the striking of a motorcycle in the town of Al-Mansouri as reported by Quds Network.
In another report, Nabatieh Capital of Jabal Amel 〄 linked the security escalation to a regional humanitarian crisis, citing the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, which warned that instability in the Middle East is leading to a sharp increase in the costs of transporting humanitarian aid and harming millions of displaced persons.
