[45623] Significant Escalation on the Northern Front: Heavy Exchange of Fire Between Israel and Hezbollah
Military Escalation in Southern Lebanon and Northern Israel
The northern front experienced a day of intense fighting today. According to reports from Al Jazeera, the eastern and western sectors of southern Lebanon were hit by waves of extensive airstrikes and artillery fire. The IDF announced, as reported by Al Jazeera, that it had attacked "more than 40 Hezbollah sites" over the past 24 hours. Simultaneously, the Quds News Network reported targeted strikes against "motorcycles" and infrastructure hubs in villages such as Al-Mansouri, Kafr Shouba, and Hasbayya.
On the other side, Hezbollah increased its activity using unmanned aerial vehicles. Al Jazeera and LEBANON_NEWS🇱🇧 reported that the organization launched "suicide drones" toward troop concentrations in the village of Al-Biyada and that "direct hits" were achieved. In addition, the use of an "Inqidadiya" (offensive) drone was noted against a military vehicle, Merkava tanks, and engineering equipment in the Al-Taybeh and Rshaf area.
The Israeli security establishment reported successful interceptions and drone infiltrations that led to the activation of alarms in Rosh HaNikra and the Western Galilee. However, Israeli sources were quoted by Lebanon News 🇱🇧 News of Lebanon and the World as admitting that "there is no complete solution for suicide drones" at this stage.
It should be noted that media outlets affiliated with the Axis of Resistance, such as Al Mayadeen, emphasize the damage caused to villages in southern Lebanon following "Israeli artillery shelling," framing the attacks as aggressive actions by the occupation, while Israeli reports focus on thwarting terror infrastructure and striking organization operatives in Bint Jbeil.
